For over 40 years I have enjoyed helping leaders and managers achieve more for less effort.I have an MBA from Lancaster University and engaged in research into the skills, knowledge and abilities managers need in order to take their organisations forward effectively and efficiently.Work has ranged from leadership development to developing strategic planning skills. I have experience in a diverse range of businesses including Aerospace Manufacturing, Construction, Retail, Food Processing, Hospitality, Local and National Government, Further and Higher Education, Engineering, Insurance, Banking and Finance, Telecommunications, Broadcasting, International Peacekeeping, Logistics, etc.My work has taken me to the Middle East, Far East, South America, Africa, India, the Pacific islands of Vanuatu and all over Eastern and Western Europe.Some years ago I developed a 'Mini MBA' which has evolved over time. Currently either a four day face to face or an eight session remotely delivered programme. It addresses the themes of managing individuals, team working, leadership, finance, making strategic decisions and managing change. It's intense but very satisfying to work with clients across the range of skills required of a manager in a wholistic manner.As well as delivering the Mini MBA I deliver a module on Leadership and Consultancy skills for the Full Time MBA at The University of Birmingham. I Lead a programme on Management Decision Making and provide coaching support at the University of Law. I also occasionally design and run short events on a wide range of leadership and management themes for diverse clients in response to specific requirements and requests.I divide my time between homes in France and England and, in my spare time, enjoy building and using small boats as well as maintaining and riding a small collection of motorbikes. My wife and I also try and stay in touch with our long since independent children and rapidly growing grandson.
