I am a 34 year veteran of the public assembly venue operations industry, earning my Certified Venue Executive designation from the International Association of Venue Managers (“IAVM”) in 2007. I am serving in my 22nd season with the Cincinnati Reds. The career in professional baseball began with the Reds in 1983, where I served in a variety of roles and finishing as the Director of Stadium Operations at Riverfront Stadium from 1986-1995. During that tenure, I coordinated the operation of the stadium for all of the Ballclub’s home baseball games, including the 1988 Major League Baseball (“MLB”) All-Star Game, the MLB 1990 League Championship Series, and MLB 1990 World Series. In 1995, I left the Reds for a new opportunity with the University of Dayton. I was eventually promoted to Assistant Vice President for Athletics overseeing the Athletics Division’s nine athletics venues including the University of Dayton Arena. I also served as the institution’s NCAA tournament manager for 13 years, and coordinated over $40 million in facility construction and renovation projects. I returned to the Reds in November 2013 to lead the operation and upkeep of Great American Ballpark ("GABP"). This includes maintaining the Reds’ Youth Academy in the Cincinnati suburb of Roselawn and Spring Training complex in Goodyear, Arizona. I continue to serve as the project manager for all of the major renovation and construction projects at GABP. In 2015, I was responsible for coordinating the use of GABP for the 2015 MLB All Star Game. Additionally, I led the efforts to obtain DHS Safety Act Designation (awarded in 2021) for ballpark security and GBAC Star Facility Accreditation for venue cleaning in 2021 and again in 2022. I am an Executive Committee member of the Reds Community Fund Board, a member of the IAVM Strategic Leadership & Resources Committee, and a member of the Keep Cincinnati Beautiful board. I hold a bachelor degree from the University of Dayton.
