Mainly I help load in and install the required elements for the show. Typically I work closely with the Master Electrician and Audio head to hang, cable and power the rig.

As a freelance Master Electrician for the theatre I managed small teams of electricians on a show by show basis. I was in charge of installing and preparing the space for light hang, focus and any and all items requested by the lighting designer. This job also consisted of the repair and maintenance of all lighting fixtures, cables, effects, power distribution, dimmers, networking and lighting control consoles as needed. Planning and implementing of the cabling (circuiting) of lights and electric power distribution. Documenting and tracking of all circuiting, addressing, and system configuration in cooperation with the Lighting Designer. Compiling lists of lighting rentals and space needs show by show. Occupational safety and health of workers and operational decisions as the head of the electrics department.
