As the AGM of Power Supply, I oversee the Turlock Irrigation District’s roughly 800 MW of power generation and power supply resources, which has a combined capital, O&M, and purchased power & fuel budget of roughly $300m annually, and manages nearly 100 employees. The Power Supply Administration includes direct ownership and operation of 13 power plants (thermal, hydroelectric, and wind), the dam safety program (28 dams, including Don Pedro Dam), resource planning, energy trading and scheduling, energy settlements, and various compliance and interactions with the California Independent System Operator (CAISO), the California Energy Commission (CEC) and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).

As the Director of Power Generation, I oversee the operation and maintenance of the District's power generation assets. As a balancing authority, TID must provide reliable and affordable power to the electric grid. This requires reliable operation of the various combustion turbine and hydroelectric power plants. Departments supervised include the Combustion Turbine, Hydroelectric, and Power Plant Engineering / Dam Safety Departments, consisting of roughly 50 people. The assets include three combustion turbine plants (9 units), ten hydroelectric plants (17 units), and 28 dams and dikes.

As the Chief Dam Safety Engineer for TID, I was responsible for the safety of Don Pedro Dam, La Grange Dam, and three other hydroelectric projects. The arsenal includes 5 hydro projects, with a total of 28 dams. Responsibilities include overseeing the Owners Dam Safety Program, and compliance with regulators such as DSOD, FERC, and USACE. I was also the Power Plant Engineering Department Manager, and Lead Project Manager of the Don Pedro Life Extension and Upgrade Project.
