I found that nanoparticles with a variety of shapes, including spheres, ribbons, and hollow tubes, could be formed depending on the design of the individual ssDNA-amphiphiles. We hope to use these nanoparticles to create more effective drug delivery vehicles capable of carrying small molecule and DNA-based therapeutics to specific areas of the body to treat diseases.
