I led the transition of the European teams into the Coyote logistics model, which was completed in August 2017. This included the set up a new site in Amsterdam and significant scaling in Wroclaw PL, We grew the teams and set the structure to support the aggressive growth plans for 2018-2020. In doing so we took the organisation from 80 to 210 staff by early 2018 and 250% volume growth . Freightex became "Coyote Logistics" from March 2018 with plans to continue to aggressively scale the Coyote business model in Europe. Coyote logistics is owned by UPS. -
Chief Executive OfficerFreightex Ltd Feb 2008 - Jan 2017The business grew strongly from 2010 to 2016 as a private business from £6m to £40m T/O and after looking for investment, we had both VC and trade offers. The Freightex management chose a sale to UPS based on a plan to bring the Coyote model to Europe and using the Freightex business as a launch pad. Freightex was one of the first trading platforms for truck load freight initially developed by a team from out of the sector. It used sophisticated real time pricing and matching to optimise carrier and load selection to maximise margin and service. Early adoption of GPS integration and predictive ETA were part of the service quality and control systems.
