After FD was acquired and positions were transferred to NORCAL's organizational structure, Itook on the role of Senior Underwriter. I worked hard to learn the new systems and companyculture and how best to incorporate that into my existing book of business. I have participatedon many different teams including underwriting guidelines and the Customer Experience team.This lead to my promotion of Underwriting Supervisor, which entails managing theUnderwriting Analysts in the Jacksonville office as well as maintaining my current book ofbusiness.

Joining the FD team was an invaluable next step in my insurance career. After spending fiveyears on the agent side, I was able to broaden my knowledge and learn about insurance fromthe carrier side. I really thrived at being on the carrier side and sought out any opportunity tobe involved on special projects and committees. After 4 years at FD, I was promoted toAssistant Vice President of Underwriting. This promotion allowed me to work on projects suchas examining the Florida rates among all carriers, filing the FD rates with the state, and filingrates in our new Georgia market. While at FD I also completed my RPLU and CPCU designations.FD was acquired by NORCAL in January 2016.

I first started as a college intern in the Accounting Department. My duties included accountspayable and direct bill. After graduating with my bachelors degree, I was hired full time as anAccount Assistant in the Healthcare Provider Unit, and was later promoted to AccountManager. As an Account Manager I handled all service activities of our physician clientsconcerning their Medical Professional Liability, Workers Comp, General Liability, and Propertycoverages. These activities included gathering physician practice information, securing new andrenewal quotes, analyzing quotes from insurance companies, and presenting the options to thephysician groups. I also handled their day to day inquiries on coverage, billing, etc., as well assupervised the job duties of an Account Assistant. While at Harden I also completed my AAIdesignation and Masters of Business Administration.
