Assisted and worked with technicians on detailed troubleshooting when problems arose in the decodes.• Supported the Tektronix Probes including Maintenance, troubleshooting & upgrades for Mobility LTE and VoIP.• Lead role in security hardening of LINUX OS, application servers and webservers utilizing McAfee Vulnerability scanner, RSA Archer and Tenable/Nessus to identify issues, correct and retest to support SOX (Sarbanes–Oxley) security audit compliance. Managed install/configure SSL certificates from Digicert certificate authority for internal webservers.• Wrote custom scripts to augment existing automated monitoring platforms after identifying situations that were not currently alarmed. Resulting in a shorter mean time to repair since it was identified when it happened and not relying on a user to report the trouble hours or days later.

Provided 7x24 escalation tier 2/3 support for $1 Billion of AIN revenue per year.• Conducted system/application administration, encompassing installation, patching, upgrades, troubleshooting, change management and vendor management for support systems. The systems include CiscoWorks LAN/WAN/Campus Manager, Cisco Secure ACS-TACACS, HP Openview Network Node manager, Netcool/Omnibus, Big-Brother/Xymon Server manager, Cisco Transport manager, Sun Global Desktop, Access-7, RSA SecurID, Bind DNS & NTP.• In an effort to save money in tight times I built, setup and configured an Open-Source network monitoring server Big-Brother/Xymon to monitor and alarm over 100 severs and devices to provide alarming, email notification and syslog monitoring for our Network Operations surveillance center. Saving approximately $30,000 in software and licensing fees at the time.• Saved approximately $80,000/year for 10 years self-supporting the Cisco devices with spares.• Redesigned, as needed as business changed and shutdown or moved sites. • Worked with internal/external customers troubleshooting interconnect issues.• Developed and trained 7x24 tier I surveillance team on basic network troubleshooting utilizing CLI and application tools resulting in a cost savings of approximately $20,000• Provided sole support for the Data-network from 2004-2015 7x24 utilizing email/phone notification off hours and weekends.• Performed NetScout nGenius remote packet analysis and trending for LD & Mobility
