I set up FOOTPRINT+ after a ten year sailng trip where we witnessed many environmental changes, and some proper disasters. Before that, I had designed over £50m worth of the Millennium Dome exhibitions for New Labour. These included Living Island, a Martin Parr influenced recreation of Brighton (or New Brighton) beach to examine problems in the UK environment (islands throw everthing they want to ignore to the coast). Back then, there was absolutely no concern or awareness about global warming or how to tackle it. FOOTPRINT+ launched alongside Brighton beach a location to address this, but this time with a windfarm as a backdrop.
