I have worked in the IT and communications industry for 9 years, and really enjoy meeting with businesses of all shapes and sizes, listening to their story and tailoring IT and communications solutions to help facilitate their growth and success. I have found that if you listen to the challenges of a business and what they want to achieve moving forwards, technology can massively impact the direction of travel and ultimately help them to accomplish their goals. The IT and communications industry can be a confusing minefield, especially for businesses without dedicated IT resources, but I have been told that I am good at articulating solutions in a manner that is appropriate to the audience. I take a consultative approach, and think of myself as a partner of the business that I am working with, which I think is the best approach to sales. I believe truly believe people buy from people. If they trust you and they like you, they won't just go with the cheapest option!Having been heavily involved in sports throughout my life, I'm a big advocate on the benefits of being in a good team. I always aim to be positive, approachable and reliable, and most importantly - do what I say I'm going to do! I'd like to think this has made me a valued member of a great team. I am very experienced at meeting with Business Owners, C-Level contacts and Company Directors, and feel comfortable presenting and pitching to this audience. I have a relaxed and straightforward style, which fits my personality well and seems to be successful! I am also a big believer in that you don't need 50 words when 5 will do - it's quality not quantity!Outside of work I like to keep fit and play a decent amount of golf, currently playing to a handicap of 3. I am lucky to have a role that I enjoy, but will always keep looking for ways to improve. Hopefully like technology, I am always evolving.
