Tim’s love for MMA began long before the legalization of mixed martial arts in New York State. Beginning with 518 Grappling, Tim worked to create a culture of inclusivity, trust, and dedication to the sport. After years of traveling with his fighters out of state to compete, and lobbying for the legalization of the sport, Tim’s hard work paid off in 2007 when he founded Cage Wars. He started Cage Wars to give fighters a safe, fair, and competitive stage to showcase their skills, passion, and talent.Tim’s entrepreneurial spirit began while attending the University at Albany; where in 1992 he graduated with a Bachelors of Business, after also playing four years of college football. That spirit blossomed after graduation and led him on a path to become a successful entrepreneur. His list of accomplished businesses includes Bogies Live Music, Pearl Restaurant & Lounge, Pearl Catering, 518 Grappling, Envy Lounge, and finally, culminating his talent and passion into Cage Wars.Tim now uses his years of experience, passion, and love for Cage Wars to identify and address shifts in the industry. He has a unique ability to diagnose problems, adapt, and overcome almost simultaneously. Tim believes that fostering a family-like atmosphere at Cage Wars empowers his team to work collaboratively and excitedly to bring their vision to life. Tim’s greatest asset is his work ethic. Even in a room full of fighters, Tim will always be the hardest working guy.Tim sees the growth of Cage Wars continuing through expanding the efforts behind brand awareness and reach, improving production value, and increasing the frequency of Professional/Amateur MMA and Professional Boxing each year.While there is no doubt you can find Tim training every day, he also enjoys his time outside with his family. Tim’s greatest pleasure is being a great father to his son Markus, a young tennis star. His loving Life Partner Julie, an accredited Graphic Designer, Website Developer, and Marketing Professional, also holds the title of Director of Marketing & Design for Cage Wars.
