U.S. Fitness is a fast growing company with 50+ large, multi-purpose heath & fitness facilities in five states. My role there was to oversee manage an internal team of facility development and maintenance leaders, along with vendors, contractors and subcontractors to ensure that projects remained on schedule, at or below budget, met USF standards and guidelines, and helped to accelerate company growth. Role terminated mid-2020 with a global shutdown of the Fitness Industry due to Pandemic restrictions.

The annual Club Industry CEO Summit is an invitation-only event for owners and CEOs in the Health and Fitness Industry. Invitees are the leaders of many of the top revenue-generating commercial clubs, medical wellness companies, club management companies and specialty segments in the United States. The CEO Summit addresses the unique issues of CEOs and owners at clubs of this size and allows them to discuss trends in the industry, share insights and network.I was fortunate to coordinate and lead this annual, invitation-only meeting of top executives from the health & fitness industry to explore topics on strategy and tactics relevant to future success.

As Co-Founder, I was able to help develop a successful business model to make STEM and technology training available in our local community. Within our first 10 months of operation, participation grew from 20, to more than 500 per week. What began as the belief that there needed to be more Science, Technology, Engineering and Math resources available to our community grew into a scalable resource for students, adults and businesses.Business was shut-down in 2020 due to restrictions from Covid-19 pandemic.STAR Academy (Science, Technology, Art and Robotics) is a pilot technology training and activity center in Timonium, MD, designed to inspire and train students and adults on popular and practical emerging tech topics such as drones, robotics, game design, CAD, virtual reality and 3D design and printing. The goal of this venture is to spark imagination and develop talent, resulting in scholarship and employment opportunities for today's youth and tomorrow's workforce.

As an original co-founder of the Maryland Athletic Club & Wellness Center (MAC) in Timonium, MD, I proudly enjoyed nearly 20 years of growth, learning and team collaboration. With three expansions in the first three years of operation, the MAC eventually grew to three locations with more than 10,000 members. We quickly became one of the top 100 health clubs in the industry (based on revenues), and remained on that list for 16 consecutive years. The MAC was recognized repeatedly as a record breaker in personal training numbers, as well as Sales Team of the Year for the industry, and named Best of Baltimore on six separate occasions.As a lifelong student and innovator within health, fitness and recreation, I believe that a number of factors drove us as we built this wonderful enterprise, including thoughtful analysis of the industry as a whole, careful strategy development and implementation, and strong team engagement.
