A mature research scientist with experience of working in a range of environments in both fundamental and applied science in the UK and USA. Experience in academia (Nottingham, UK and Yale, USA), research Institutes (John Innes Centre, UK and Sainsbury Laboratory, UK) and industry (DNA Plant Technology, USA). I currently teach plant genetics at undergraduate and masters level in the School of Biosciences. My ambitions over the next few years are to help nuture the next generation of research scientists and continue my research in plant reproduction and breeding.
