Directed delivery of first phase of programme to replace legacy UK ground transport management systems across multiple business sectors. First phase included delivery of Ortec planning, forecasting, routing and loading solution for the energy sector.

Directed Programme to replace legacy front office system for recruiters working in branches across the UK. New solution hosted on Salesforce platform (Bullhorn/Jobscience & Sirenum) with mobile app and candidate timesheet integration to back office payroll and accounting systems. Mobile App introduced online real-time logging of start and end of shifts, hours worked, breaks, gps/geofencing location, new shift notifications and fastest finger sign up. Solution transformed business process for fulfilling clients shifts and significantly reduced the use of manual timesheets and effort to process payrolls.

Achievements : directed delivery of a number of complex multi million GBP European and global supply chain solutions for customers including Philips Consumer Lifestyle, BSN Medical, Rolls Royce Aerospace. Working with international teams across multiple time zones using both traditional waterfall and Agile Scrum methodologies.

Achievement : as Business and IT Programme Manager, directed the turnaround of a failing distribution and warehousing programme for B&Q. Following re-plan, delivered on time to budget. Multi-site. £8 million plus budget. Multiple project teams. Management of third parties (TCS and HP) who were responsible for delivery of significant parts of the programme. Board level stakeholder management.

KN Drinks Logistics specialises in the primary and secondary distribution of beverages throughout England, Scotland and Wales, it is the UK’s largest drinks distribution company. Reporting to the Business Systems Director I was accountable for the alignment of IT strategy to business objectives and priorities, management of the business project portfolio, development and management of IT innovations to complement ongoing business initiatives and provide competitive advantage in line with corporate strategy and business plan. I worked closely with the commercial and operations leadership team to ensure the successful integration of all new business onto our systems.

Member of the UK IS Leadership Team. Responsible for the alignment of the UK IT strategy with the businesses commercial objectives and 3 year plan. Accountable for the delivery of all UK IS Trading/Commercial led projects, I managed a project portfolio ensuring business demand and priorities were balanced against available resource, environments and budgets.In 2008 Scottish & Newcastle was acquired by Heineken. Following the acquisition I managed the IT integration of Heineken UK and Scottish & Newcastle UK, which included the successful migration of Heineken UK onto Scottish & Newcastle SAP R/3 ERP system within 100 days.
