Tim graduated from Queen's University with an Honours degree in Physical Therapy in 2003. Prior to this he received an Honours degree in Kinesiology in 2000 from McMaster University. At the post-graduate level Tim has completed his Advanced Diploma in Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy from the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, is a Fellow with the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy, and has also become Certified in Medical Acupuncture from the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute. Tim is a member of the Sports, Orthopaedic, Acupuncture, and Pain Divisions of the CPA. Most recently Tim has graduated from McMaster University in 2016 with his Master of Science (combined clinical and research degree) with the Advanced Orthopaedic Musculoskeletal-Manipulative Physiotherapy (OMPT) Specialization Field of study. His research investigated neck and upper extremity neuromuscular activation patterns in individuals with chronic neck pain.Tim is an Assistant Clinical Professor with the Graduate Physiotherapy Program at McMaster University, and has developed and taught post-graduate courses in Orthopaedics and Manual Therapy. Tim is a contributing member to the ICON and HaNSA research groups. His professional focus lies in the treatment of neuro-musculoskeletal disorders of the spine, pelvis, and extremities. His treatment philosophy involves thoroughly educating clients about their condition, and employing specific manual therapy and neural mobilization techniques, acupuncture, and exercise therapy to facilitate optimal functional recovery and independence.In addition to operating his own clinic, Tim also provides consultation with an Interventional Pain Specialist Physician in Hamilton. Tim has built a reputation for successfully treating a varied caseload of complex and 'hard to treat' patients, as well as amateur and elite athletes.
