Tim leads both KPMG's US Value Managment (VM) group and Global Value Chain Management (VCM) Network. These organizations help companies identify, assess and execute on business models improvements which; when aligned with strategic tax, trade and treasury structures can create significant competitive, operational, and financial efficiencies. Our VCM teams approach each engagement with an appropriately staffed, integrated team of well qualified advisory (e.g., strategy, operations, systems) and financial (e.g., income tax, transnational tax, trade, gov't affairs, treasury and tax operations) resources. Optimization strategies focus on both proactive functional, legal and organizational structuring and maximization of commercial, governmental and quasi-governmental incentives. Tim Seitz was a senior vice president of Flextronics’ Financial Supply Chain Design Group. Flextronics (NASDAQ: FLEX) is a $25B, industry-leading, Fortune Global 500 electronics manufacturing services and end-to-end supply chain solutions provider with more than 200,000 employees and operations in over 30 countries. In this role, Mr. Seitz was responsible for a consulting solutions group focused on supply chain financial modeling and the identification and implementation of financial cost mitigation strategies for Flextronics customers. Cost mitigation strategies focussed on both proactive functional, legal and organizational structuring and maximization of commercial, governmental and quasi-governmental incentives. Tim was also responsible for Flextronics’ corporate tax and trade functions, including reporting, planning, government affairs, controversy management, strategic transaction consulting, cross-functional and compliance support. He established a group culture that promotes a sense of ownership, encourages teamwork and facilitates a rich intellectual environment. This culture enabled Flextronics to assemble a stable, world-class group that proactively reaches out both within the organization on a cross-functional basis and externally to its customer base to create mutually beneficial, financially efficient supply chains.

Prior to joining Flextronics, Mr. Seitz was an international tax partner at Deloitte & Touche, LLP where he performed tax consulting for multi-national inbound and outbound clients in the following sectors: manufacturing, services, oil and gas, mining and general industrial. He managed extensive tax studies and coordinated worldwide tax services for large multi-national clients with operations throughout the world. His responsibilities included research and planning for acquisitions and divestitures; worldwide tax reduction projects, financing, licensing and fee structuring; review of financial instruments; managing and defending audits; filing ruling requests (domestic and foreign); holding company structuring; cash repatriation planning; foreign tax credit maximization; and tax compliance management. As the leader of the Rocky Mountain International Tax Group for Deloitte & Touche, he hired and trained numerous staff with the goal of increasing their technical skills and management capabilities and founded the firm’s International Tax Client Service Matrix (ITCSM) group which brainstormed, developed, packaged and promoted both on-off ideas and systematic approaches to international tax planning. His practice focused on international tax and mergers and acquisitions planning with heavy emphasis on sub-c and partnership provisions.
