We go above and beyond what is expected on a daily basis to stay ahead of the curve. On the jobsite that means being the first one there and the last one to leave. It means designing and operating the safest, most efficient equipment available anywhere in the world. I've been the Operations Manager for Herzog Railroad Services, Inc. Rail Unloading Machines since June of 2006. I manage the day-to-day operations of the division serving our customers in the railroad industry while accomplishing the goals and objectives of our company. Currently, we are serving BNSF Railway with 6 full time operational units used to unload CWR over the entire 32,000 mile system of railways on BNSF property. Operating mainly west of the Mississippi River, we unload over 1,200 miles of continuous welded rail annually on the BNSF system of railways. We also unload welded rail trains for CN Railroad on their territory in the United States and in Canada, using 1-3 RUM units depending on the needs of their rail program. We are aggressive with our approaches to innovation, efficiency, safety, performance, and customer satisfaction. Gps Ballast TechnicianHerzog Jun 2003 - May 2006St Joseph, Mo, UsIn June of 2003, I had the unique opportunity to accept a position as a GPS Ballast Technician for HRSI. Using proprietary equipment and software, I traveled all over North America working with a talented team of techs spreading ballast (rock) on North American railroads. Our ballast spreads are site specific, applying the exact amount of material needed to within inches of the area prescribed by the contracting railroad. Day or night operations are possible, and an entire 60 car (6000 ton) train can be unloaded in about an hour. This technology signaled a paradigm shift in the way ballast was delivered in the railroad industry. At it's inception, Herzog GPS ballast delivery was a generation better than anything else on the market.
