Responsible for the smooth running of 10 optical and audiological practices, I aim to develop operational procedures within the company as well as ensuring best practice throughout the patient journey. Identifying and sourcing new suppliers, working with existing suppliers to identify areas for business growth and implementation of new systems and business partnerships. As well as acquisitions and diversification of current business offerings.Responsibility for the development and implementation of Hearing Care which we have recently added to our 128 year old business.I work closely with the other directors to ensure we meet our mission statement and develop the business and our staff.

Working as a qualified Dispensing Optician, I am responsible for dispensing glasses to a prescription as determined by an Optometrist. I legally am allowed to partake in paediatric dispensing. I was proud to be granted the Tony Griffiths prize for excellence in the practical examinations. For achieving the highest grade.I am also responsible for patients eye health in the absence of an optometrist and am an expert on frame materials and spectacle lens options.

As Practice Manager I was responsible for the smooth day to day running of the practice. Maintaining very high standards of quality and delivering exceptional levels of customer service.I was responsible for 2 Practices one in Surrey and one in Hampshire. Splitting my time between the two practices to ensure they met targets and achieved set goals. I was responsible for all aspects of work involvement for about 20 staff members from day to day work, H and S, stock control and achieving KPI's.

I began my career in Optics with D and A and achieved an NVQ level 3 in Optical Retailing. This is were I learnt the basics before developing and honing my skills by becoming a Dispensing Optician.
