I have successfully prepared and guided departments through DCMA, DCAA, GSA, and Independent Accounting Firm audits.• Leadership – I was selected as a member of CSC’s first Accelerated Leader Program (ALPINE) in 2010; selected as CSC’s nominee for the White House Fellows Program in 2008; and appointed to the NASA Johnson Space Center Joint Leadership Team in 2005, which was a civil servant and contractor panel focused on improving NASA’s culture. • Process Improvement – I was responsible for creating and improving procurement processes, procedures, and training that resulted in the approval of the company's approved purchasing system in 2013; reengineered the communication and bidding processes, procedures, and financial management of the construction and engineering department under the NASA Center Operations Support Services (COSS) contract resulting in a NASA GEM Award in 2005; and in 2004 I negotiated and implemented an agreement with Grainger to staff and maintain a consignment store at Johnson Space Center under the COSS contract, which is still in place today.

    I was the Subcontracts and Procurement lead for PAE’s National Security Solutions Division. I submitted accurate and timely data for corporate financial reporting, analyzed metrics, prepared reports and presentations for program and executive management. I managed a staff of six. I substantially improved the program DSO; led the program through DCMA, DCAA, and independent accounting firm financial audits; and negotiated higher performance metrics scores and CPAR ratings which were used in the evaluation of future Task Order awards.

    As Contracts Manager, I provided corporate oversight of fixed price, time & material, and cost reimbursable contracts with a combined value over $1B. Customers include NASA, DOD, GSA, and the United States Postal Service. I participated in or led new business proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. I negotiated teaming agreements, nondisclosure agreements and MOU’s with proposal partners. In 2006 I was assigned responsibility for all consulting agreements, including closing DCAA findings from the 2005 consultant audit. I was successful in leading the organization through DCAA audits for 2006 and 2007. Other duties included obtaining and maintaining state security licensing in 14 states for security guard contracts, and maintaining the company ATF explosives license. In 2008, CSC executive leadership selected me to apply for the White House Fellows program. The White House Fellows program is one of America's most prestigious programs for leadership and public service. White House Fellowships offer first-hand experience working at the highest levels of the federal government. Selected individuals typically spend a year working as a full-time, paid Fellow to senior White House Staff, Cabinet Secretaries and other top-ranking government officials.

During this time, I implemented a consignment program with Grainger for maintenance supplies that resulted in cost savings and improved support for workforce. This consignment store with Grainger is still in place at JSC under the current contract.
