Reporting to the Board of Directors and ultimately responsible for the overall management of Tech Journey and all aspects of operations including the supervision and coordination of programming related to Tech Journey’s mission to inspire youth in their knowledge and interest in technology.

Developed, implemented and executing the YouthCode program that inspires central Iowa youth to engage in computer science, coding, robotics, digital literacy and creativity; Provide activities such as classes, camps, workshops, expos and ad-hoc events in partnership with other central-Iowa organizations; Recruit and develop volunteers.

Planned and implemented a new community center on the east side of Des Moines, “Doing good for the community … with the community”; Sought out and implemented partnerships and programs to increase utilization of the facility and build a “felt” presence in the community

Directed and managed global life cycle processes for personal computers, smart phones and wireless tablet devices from planning to disposal; Championed global policies on hardware and software standards; Developed, implemented and managed a North America IT Service Desk to provide a single point of contact for clients as well as centralized coordination of incident and problem management for Pioneer PC users; Sponsored and/or managed continuous process improvement efforts across the Pioneer Information Management organization to support organizational goals and priority initiatives, focusing on planning, portfolio/project management, knowledge management, staff development and communications.
