After graduation at TJC with a Petroleum Technology Associates degree, I roughnecked on a camp site in Wyoming for 6 months in the dead of winter. I went back to Texas to work for my former job that I worked summer's and on weekends during school. For the next 4 years I worked in a trailer set up as a lab that was connected to the drilling rigs. We logged all drilling activities 24/7, determining formations they drilled through and if there was any oil or gas present. This was my career choice, however, I moved back to Ohio to be a caregiver for my father that had complications of heart surgery. So, I spent the next 12 years in the Quality Assurance field in 2 manufacturing facilities, then 12 years at Brinks Home Security starting as a technician, then a Master Service Tech, then a Supervisor, then the final 5 years as an Operations Manager. Led the Cleveland branch out of red and into the black prior to the buyout to ADT. I decided not to get back into management and worked as a Customer Service Rep. I've worked seasonal jobs until Straders Nursery in 2018. I love being outdoors!
