Product ManagerUnited Technologies Incorporated (Sheller-Globe Corporation) 1986 - 1987Responsibilities included the supervision and direction of the manufacturing system design and production launch of the instrument panel for the 1987 Dodge Daytona. Production requirements were nearly 1,200 units per day and production processes and tooling included injection molding, roto-casting, painting, foaming, assembly and packaging. All timing, quality, cost and customer requirements were met or exceeded during this design and start-up and production returns during the first year were zero.

Manufacturing System Design LeaderUnited Technologies Incorporated (Sheller-Globe Corporation) 1984 - 1986Responsibilities included the redesign of a two hundred and fifty thousand square foot manufacturing facility. The redesign process resulted in relocation of 90% of the processes within the facility during a two-year period. The six million dollar investment resulted in manufacturing lead-time reductions for customer service from two weeks to an average of four hours. Other achievements included space utilization improvements to add new production requirements, quality response time improvement, product focused team manufacturing, elimination of function supervision, and a one-year payback on this investment.
