Responsible for all aspects of accounting for 210 bed, JCAHO accredited, Behavioral Hospital with In-Patient, Residential, Partial Hospitalization, and Intensive Outpatient Programs. Supervise Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Business Office.- Generate accurate monthly financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, analyzing account reserves and contractual allowances for bad debt, and posting journal entries. - Net Income enhancement by reviewing for increased revenue opportunities while working with all departments for potential cost saving efficiencies.- Monitor accounts receivables, set cash collection goals, meet weekly to review denials, cash flow and A/R patterns while auditing billing and payables processes for opportunities of improvement and compliance with Policy and Procedures.- Review departments for operational efficiencies, labor management and variances to budget.- Develop and implement of hospital fiscal budget. - Presentation of financial results monthly to executive leadership.- Compile and present ad hoc financial pro-forma, reports, analysis and feasibility studies for new product lines

Responsible for all aspects of accounting for a 68 bed - 64 med/surg and 4 ICU beds, TJC accredited, Acute Care Specialty Hospital as well as a 37 bed med/surg TJC accredited Acute Care Specialty Hospital. Supervise Accounting, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Medical Records, Materials Management and Business Office.- Generate accurate monthly financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, analyzing account reserves and contractual allowances for bad debt, and posting journal entries. - Revenue enhancement focus while increasing Medicare and Managed Medicare revenue per patient day by implementing systems to review DRG’s and coding opportunities, working with physicians regarding documentation and LOS management. - Monitor and review account receivables, cash collections and payables process for opportunities of improvement and compliance with Policy and Procedures.- Review departments for operational efficiencies and variances to budget.- Member of the “Kindred Denver Integrated Market” which integrates the utilization of different levels of services including hospitals, skilled nursing facilities and home health/hospice to provide quality care for our constituents throughout the healthcare continuum. - Review and analyze commercial contracts for profitability, referral patterns and utilization management.
