Tim graduated from the University of Manchester in 1987 with a honours Degree in Physics. He has spent his entire working career in the opto-electronics industry, joining Hamamatsu Photonics in 1992 and since 2012 he has been Managing Director of Hamamatsu Photonics' UK operation. With over 35 years experience within the photonics sector, Tim has partnered with numerous clients, from "one man" start-ups to huge multinationals, on a very diverse range of projects and applications. With an in depth knowledge of the technologies involved for imaging ( x-ray through to LWIR ), optical sensing, instrumentation, spectroscopy and radiation sensing, Tim utilises all of his experience to facilitate successful business outcomes with his customers.As Managing Director of Hamamatsu Photonics Uk Ltd, he is responsible for a team of over 50 people working for the UK division of the global leader in optical sensing and photonic applications.Specialties: Design of instrumentation and sensor solutions using optical and x-ray technologies.Working the client's and their design teams to deliver the best technical solutions, on time.
