Systems have been centralized at Cal Poly so new responsibilities involve directing and mentoring our new systems librarian and related IT projects and programs; liaising with Campus IT for program and service support; Assessment, negotiating and licensing for various 3rd party services.

Administer, direct and manage operations associated with Alma and Primo system; Administer local policy development for Alma/Primo; Coordinate campus Alma/Primo operations with CSU wide committees. Administer and coordinate activities of two Kennedy Library cross-department teams to coordinate Alma and Primo. Lead development, implementation and delivery of Analytics, using derived data from Alma, as well as other systems and sources; Develop delivery models for analytics for various purposes (e.g. resource allocation, program and project assessment). Continuing activities and responsibilities as a member of the library management group in the leadership of the entire spectrum of library operations and direct administration of collection development activities; Collaboration with Director of External Relations for advancement/donor relations; Campus representation at CSU governance groups and other venues, and as required/assigned by library Dean.

The Robert E. Kennedy Library provides for all the information resources and services to serve the instructional and research needs of the Cal Poly campus. The Director of Information Resources serves as the administrative manager for the Information Resources and Resource Sharing which includes: Acquisitions; Cataloging; Electronic Resources; Resource Sharing (Inter-Library Services); Licensing. The Director provides leadership at the campus, state, and national levels in the development and management of information resource and collections. This position has oversight over a large and complex department in Library Services that plans, organizes, and directs all activities of the Information Resources Department. Work involves policy development, interpretation and implementation of policies and procedures, supervision of personnel, planning, and the organization of services to the University community and the public. This position is responsible for the overall quality of the Kennedy Library's owned and licensed information resources.
