Mission Planning Software Test Engineer
Current- Software test engineer who uses test and evaluation methodologies to advise test directors and program management on direction and scope of software test programs; attends programmatic meetings, video/teleconferences with contractor and government team members to assist in the early program scope and planning phases of software test programs. - Participates in writing, editing and technical review of test program briefs, updates slides and test planning documentation, and ensures that program documents comply with government/46TS operating policies. Assist test team with the timely delivery of test program documentation as directed by contract/deliverable policies. Has experience in Operational Testing and test methodologies. - Conduct observation of, and testing with, contractor and/or government SME personnel as a matter of procedure during the conduct of FQT or developmental testing requirements. Report results IAW government directives and internal 46 TS procedures. - Monitor/review deficiency reports at they apply to the test programs. Advise members of the review board of DR status and consequence, as required. Ensure and advise government test directors of DR status as it relates to program certification for OT decisions. - Plans for test activities, establishes criteria, assesses program effectiveness, and investigates/analyzes unusual testing conditions, problems, or questions. Work facilitates the development/production of software to better suit end customers. Coordinates work efforts with software developers and engineersto solve technical problems with mission planning software and keeps supervisors informed of progress, implications of deficiencies, and intractable issues.
