• The Director of Conservation is responsible for developing and overseeing the zoo’s field conservation programs, including promoting these efforts to appropriate audiences. This position orchestrates the zoo’s travel.
• Develops, maintains, and oversees the zoo's field conservation programs.
• Establishes and maintains excellent and consistent communications between the zoo and various conservation partners.
• Actively builds relationships with conservation colleagues at other zoos, government agencies, and non-governmental organizations.
• Manages budget for conservation efforts to insure worthwhile outcomes.
• Develops related policies for staff participation in field conservation or related efforts.
