Selected for an interim position to oversee the rebuilding of a company in financial distress. Instructed key personnel in marketing local and nationwide, charter schedule’s for the vessels; oversaw the maintenance of the vessels, and the various permits for Coast Guard and NOAA. Instrumental in developing new markets in the fishing charter business. Acted as project coordinator of the Deep Search and Recovery for Natalie Holloway which was highly televised on all major news networks.

Was responsible for development of commercial and residential mortgage leads from various sources including but not limited to Realtor, builders, financial professionals, past customers and other nontraditional sources. Provide borrower with access to all types of mortgages including “A” paper, ALT-A, sub-prime, full documentation, and more. Originated mortgage applications, ran DU, determined loan approval, conditioned the file, performed rate lock function, and negotiated interest rates while maintaining trusted relationships with borrowers. Produced high quality loans which complied with all Federal and State compliance policies/requirements while always providing exceptional customer service. The attention to detail resulted in monthly increases in loan volume, revenue dollars per loan and continued referrals.

Evaluated acquisition and merger target companies, evaluated financial strength and weaknesses of possible acquisitions, researched and analyzed multiple industries to expand company, assisted management in reviewing key personnel and job performance, assisted various management teams and operational roles within organizations, established controls for cash flow and financial reporting.

Maintained contact with all large clients advising them of changing industrial needs. Evaluated cost-benefit services for new business including evaluation of current clientele. Assisted with the management of operations of roll off trucks. Coordinated special projects based on individual customers needs. Managed the planning of a Type 5 Transfer Station which included obtaining process permits and addressing environmental issues with proper authorities, coordinate the initial permitting and licensing of proposed facility, coordinate engineering and city entities for permitting.

Primary responsibility was the oversight of new construction from early development of the construction process through project completion. Additional responsibilities included but were not limited to: management of construction projects, blueprint design, development of task schedules, supervision of specialty contractors, job costing and profit margins control, and permit applications for projects. Trahan Constructions specialized in construction projects for the waste industry and several environmental companies. During mergers & acquisitions of the industry Trahan Construction was called upon to assist in due diligence during and post acquisition. This was provided to the larger environmental companies that included Waste Management, Sanifill, USA Waste, Laidlaw, and US Liquids.
