I currently manage a small team of reinsurance analysts responsible for administering the technical setup of all US and Canada pro-rata (quota share, variable quota share, & surplus share) treaties. We also handle some excess of loss treaties and multinational captive assumption/retrocession agreements. Collaborated with reinsurance buyers, underwriting, & IT to translate reinsurance contracts from language-on-paper to digital entries across a variety of interlocking systems. Notable accomplishments include:o Built Access databases & macro-enabled Excel workbooks using SQL ODBC connections for processing large volume ceded & direct premium registrations. o Developed new reporting structures to monitor unearned premium and aggregate losses.o Prepared year-end NAIC Attestation reports.o Presented introduction to reinsurance concepts seminars for new hires.o Re-designed existing SOPs and workflows to increase operational accuracy & efficiency.o Designed & managed multiple SharePoint sites and PowerApps applications.
