Owner and operator of Weather Graphics, founded in 1992, which specializes in meteorological software, forecasting textbooks, data services, and consulting & training.* Developed the Digital Atmosphere weather data display system, a Delphi 7 application which uses 125,000 lines of source code and remains in extensive use worldwide for displaying longline weather data reports and other operational products.* Authored seven weather textbooks, all of which have been used in undergraduate meteorology programs since 2002.* Wrote numerous utilities and applications used in-house to convert, translate, and organize weather data archived in various NWS, WMO, NCAR, and other formats.* Developed and maintained the Master Location Identifier Database (MLID) project, an initiative to crossreference and index weather station identifiers used over the past 75 years.* Conducted Forecast School forecast training sessions in Norman, Oklahoma in spring 2000-2003 and in 2009-2013.* Operated the Chase Hotline forecasting service each spring from 2001 to 2014. Alongside off-duty NWS forecaster Jon Finch provided complimentary forecast services in April 2014 to the first chase expedition in Bangladesh.

* 1989-1993: Weather observer, Tonopah Test Range, Nevada. Provided certified weather observations in support of F-117A Stealth Fighter operations. Assisted forecasters with flight weather briefings, quality control, and contingency support.* 1993-1995: Weather forecaster, Dyess AFB, Texas. Responsible for terminal aerodrome forecasts, flight planning, and mission forecasts for B-1B and C-130 flying operations and other transient aircraft. Certified by Unisys on WSR-88D operation in both the user and controller (UCP) positions. Trained and qualified all new forecasters. Deployed to Africa in mid-1994 to provide airlift forecasting support for Operation Support Hope.* 1995-1996: Center forecaster, Korean Theater Forecast Unit, Seoul (Yongsan), Korea. Provided operational forecasts for all Department of Defense assets in South Korea. Coordinated forecasts between U.S. Air Force weather stations via daily conference call. Provided the evening forecast on alternating weeks on Air Force Korea Network (AFKN) television.* 1996-1998: Weather programmer, Air Force Global Weather Center, Oklahoma City. Responsible for maintenance and development of code at the U.S. Air Force's primary weather telecommunications hub at Tinker AFB. All code was MASM (assembler) on Univac 1100 mainframes. Authored a prototype of this system in Java.
