Based in Brisbane Australia, the role involved cold calling (very small amount of inbound) potential clients regarding their SEO & website optimisation needs. After initially cold calling and booking an appointment, I would then run the client through a presentation with a high closing rate on the day and of course a pipeline of clients that took a little longer to switch from their current provider. All aspects of follow up and assistance with optimisation (everything except the SEO link building etc. itself) were handled between myself and the accounts team. Keeping in regular contact also helped with referral sales.Continuing the sales role, I was chosen to manage and oversee the sales team and assist with any difficult clients and help take over calls to close if needed.The company eventually sold out to a competitor with it's own existing management and staff rendering our staff roles no longer necessary.
