Working to create a safer and stainable community Conduct a training needs analysis, and based on the outcomes from this develop a comprehensive training calendar delivering training to the Emergency Services volunteers to train within local or regional level, ensuring current standards and operational readiness of volunteers is up to date to respond to local, regional or state incidents.Also under take the follow duties;• Incident Management• Developed Rural Urban Interface Response Plans for high risk areas. • Review Fire management plans.• Develop and undertake fuel reduction programs on council and UCL reserves to assist in reducing the fuel levels within the district.• Organise the local Emergency Service Expo on planning, prevention, preparedness and response activities on and around local properties owners and within their community.• Worked closely with the Lower South West Community Engagement Officer in development and establishment of Bush Fire Read groups, street meets and property walks within the district. This has proven very successful with over 85 Bush Fire Ready groups established.• Work with LEMC (local emergency Management committee) reviewing and ensuring the local Emergency Management Arrangements are current and up to date to reflect the current area environment and community.
