Responsible for all Hosting Technology Architecture and Engineering directly reporting to Corporate CTO. Led a team of 30+ to deliver technology platforms and strategic infrastructure direction through a time of significant corporate change* Led infrastructure construction for two new insourced datacenters and the migration of all applications from two subsidiary owned locations. This strategic separation activity was highly time sensitive and $20m+ of systems were successfully deployed as scheduled over 18 months* In parallel, built new organization with staff in Charlotte and Detroit and transitioned from teams impacted by subsidiary separation without impacting migration schedule. 75%+ of staff started after Feb 2013* Followed build out of new corporate datacenters with insourcing of significant managed services contracts from HP and IBM. Result: Vast majority of corporate IT systems consolidated into the 2 insourced datacenters. 4 out of 5 Managed Services datacenters completely vacated, generating millions in annual savings* Drove maturity in the Hosting Technology space increasing efficiency and generating cost savings. Introduced Red Hat Enterprise Linux as a standard offering and replaced HP DL380 Wintel server standard with Cisco UCS* Improved security posture by improving standardization of server builds and creating clear alignment between gold images, standards documentation, and compliance scanning baseline* Decoupled storage purchases from individual projects by creating a Storage Chargeback process allowing the organization to make more efficient and strategic buys of SAN block and NAS space on a quarterly basis
