With this uptick in business, the growth provided a need for a larger work area and the ability to process and sort scrap metal on their own. It was then that Custom Recycling expanded into York, SC.The company operates on ~40K+ square feet on 16+ acres in York, SC. Our motto has always been “how can we serve customers in the best way possible” and we have found new strategies and solutions along the way, including investing in equipment and developing a sister company (Custom Trucking and Hauling) to bring the hauling in house, allowing Custom Recycling to maintain market competitiveness. With the business employing 40+ friends and family over the years, we have focused on becoming an excellent place to work in the Carolinas with a massive focus on customer service & an environment of inclusion. We are consistently finding new and innovative ways to provide solutions to our customers… with a hands-on approach to ensure their needs are in the forefront. Currently Custom Recycling recycles 20000GT of ferrous scrap and 15M+ pounds of nonferrous scrap annually. We have 3 balers, 2 material handlers, 3 sheers, 4 excavators, 4 skid steers, 4 forklifts, wire strippers, plasma torches, oxylance system, numerous torches, as well as 300 roll off containers, 10 trucks, 20 dry vans, 8 open top trailers, 4 dump trailers, 6 flatbed trailers, Benlee Trailers, Dragon trailers, and several other specialized containers.Recently named one of the best places to work in South Carolina, we continue to find ways to bring successful opportunities throughout the Carolinas while never losing sight of our origination.
