Tim is the Executive Director and founder of Utilities Regulation Advisory (URA), a firm specialising in the economic regulation of utility network infrastructure. Tim has 20 years experience providing strategic regulatory advice to utilities (both public and private sector), economic regulators and governments around Australia.Prior to founding URA, Tim was KPMG's Victorian State Lead to the water sector, and the national lead of its water economic regulation practice. During his career, Tim has:- advised regulators on reforming regulation to deliver better customer value;- advised utilities and regulators on the planning, development, review and defence of regulatory pricing submissions;- provided economic and commercial analysis of asset options;- advised on tariff design and reform;- reviewed regulatory price setting models for accuracy and consistency with regulatory requirements;- developed and implemented successful customer engagement strategies; and- worked within and advised government on major policy reform initiatives.
