I am currently the Augean Project Manager for the Berkeley Blower House Remediation Project after joining Augean in February 2023. Having worked with Magnox since 1997, my background was remote operations before moving into engineering projects in 2007 and then active waste management projects from 2010. These included projects dealing with both Low Level and Intermediate Level, liquid and solid Wastes.Immediately before joining the Augean team I was lead engineer for the characterisation of a number of intermediate level waste tanks and working on the commissioning of a vacuum retrieval system for ILW Sludge, Sand and Gravel at Dungeness A site.Prior to this I was work pack lead for Processing and Assay of ILW Miscellaneous Contaminated Items (MCI) at Oldbury Site.Previously I worked on Fuel Element Debris (FED) retrieval at Berkeley Power Station and a series of upgrades to the wet fuel route at Oldbury Site including the Active Effluent Treatment Plant and the Ponds Water Filtration Plant.Other projects include the delicencing of land surrounding Oldbury Site (at project completion, this was the largest area to be delicenced in the UK), the processing and disposal of 25 cubic meters of active sludge directly into ISO containers (a first for the nuclear industry) and contaminated land characterisation.I have worked on projects to support the graphite safety case for a number of Magnox stations including the highly successful large graphite trepanning campaign at Oldbury to support the case for continued generation at Wylfa.Following end of generation at Oldbury I was involved in a number of tasks to provide permanent isolation of systems including Reactor Control Rods and Safety Guardlines.I have worked at Littlebrook, Dungeness A, Dungeness B, Sizewell A, Berkeley Center, Berkeley Site, Oldbury, Windscale AGR and Wylfa. In addition I have worked in support of the IAEA and alongside a team of American engineers from the US Department of Energy at Brookhaven National Laboratories, Long Island.
