Tim is an experienced people leader with a background in sales and marketing. As Group Manager of Strategic Customers at Snell Packaging & Safety, Tim holds responsibility for the leadership and development of key staff, including National Key Account Managers, Customer Service Manager and Sales Support Analysts. Tim is responsible for maintaining and developing a wide range of strategic customers, growing targeted new business opportunities while leading and developing a high performing team.Tim has a depth of experience in the sales and distribution sector, previously working in several roles within Packaging House (now NZ Safety Blackwoods). These roles included National Sales Manager, Branch Manager and Marketing/Merchandise Manager, with each role providing unique and invaluable experiences which shaped Tim’s current approach to leadership.In addition to a focus on people development and driving a high performance team culture, Tim is passionate about providing customers with a unique perspective while being responsive to their individual needs.Tim studied at Otago University, completing a Bachelor of Commerce, before moving to Wellington and then on to London for three years. Tim settled in Auckland on his return from London, where he lives with his wife and two teenage children.Outside of work, Tim is a very keen follower of all sport, with a passion for cricket. After 12 years of coaching his son’s cricket, Tim now has his weekends back, so he often spends them playing tennis and golf. Tim is also a very keen traveller and enjoys socialising with family and friends.Tim’s key skills include: sales management, business development, people leadership, a high EQ as well as a strong understanding of the commercial elements of business.
