Careers Adviser
Current- Providing a quality support service to people who require advice and guidance. Tailored to the needs of the client and/or organisation.
- Focusing on employability and transferable skills as well as the requirements of the changing labour market and how this impacts on recruitment methods and choices.
- Delivery through a combination of 1:1 support and group presentations. Developing sessions that make people understand the concept, ideally in a fun and thought provoking way.
- Encouraging clients to realise the importance of taking ownership of any issues, whilst offering ongoing support as required. Empowering people to take advantage of the support available to resolve potential problems.
- Organising own work load and delivery plans with the institutions where I work. Actively liaising with local employers to create a link between learners and the workplace. Working independently to resolve issues where.
- Developing good, strong working relationships with clients and organisational staff, raising awareness of the value and importance of Careers Education, Advice and Guidance.
