Experienced board member of non-government organisations and executive director of commissioning and healthcare delivery. I have a passion for social good and giving back to the community in which I live. I pride myself in my ability to pull together and lead multiple stakeholders to collaboratively design new models of care and successfully deliver them.I am a current board member of Helensville District Health Trust. Previously, I Chaired Saint Aidans Presbyterian Property Trust a charity that provides affordable housing for retired people. While Chair I oversaw change to improve the accountability of the Trust to both residents and the community. I have also been a board member of North Shore Living Without Violence, Northcote Intermediate, and Northern DHB Support Agency. I have undertaken all my board roles as a volunteer and when a stipend was available I have always declined to accept.In my executive director role I have had a portfolio that has had over 2,000 staff with budgets in excess of $100 million. My portfolios included; commissioning, specialist mental health and addiction services, oral health services, bowel screening, and breast screening. In these positions I have lead a number of significant projects including:1. Development of a 5year capital investment plan.2. Service collocation with Auckland City Mission in the new Mission Home Ground building.3. Collaborative successful response to a Request for Proposal and implementation of the associated Tu Whakaruruhau, integrated primary healthcare initiative. Collaborative include Iwi, Pacific, NGO, PHO, people with lived experience, and District Health Boards partners. This is the most successful programme in terms of reach to Maori, Pacific and youth in New Zealand.4. Co-design of a new model of care for diabetic retinal screening. This also lead to a significant improvement in service delivery with waiting times reduced from approx. 1 year to less than 2 months.5. Sponsored information system upgrades for diabetic retinal screening and cardiology.6. Negotiated large contracts for service with local, regional, and national reach.I have an active interest in fitness, music, and outdoor activities.
