Transport planning for all modes supported by expertise in traffic engineering and transport modelling.My Civil Engineering Masters degree included modules in the theory and practice of Traffic Engineering and Transport Planning and a major study into planning for cyclists on the University Campus.I developed my traffic engineering skills in the early part of my career with commissions to improve motorway safety, intersection and interchange capacity and development control. I went on to apply and develop wide area traffic models (TRANSYT and SATURN), enabling evaluation of concept designs I had developed.I've maintained a strong interest in planning for cycling, walking and public transport, having leading roles in many mode-specific and multi-modal studies.In the latter part of my career I've managed transport teams, multi-disciplinary studies and led the development of many area wide transport models.In April 2009 I co-founded QTP Ltd with my esteemed colleagues Paul Roberts and John Falconer, with whom I share a common passion for developing, and objectively evaluating, transport solutions that provide optimal outcomes for the wider community.
