I've worked for RESCO Electronics since 1980, starting part-time in the warehouse as a stock clerk. I started full time at RESCO in 1984, taking an inside sales position. I eventually took a position in outside sales (field sales) in 1990. In 1993, I took on the additional responsibilities for IT, managing the implementation of FACTS distribution software. After leaving the field sales position to work full time in IT around 1996, I became the quality manager and managed RESCO's certification to ISO9001:2000. I've since guided the company to successful implementation of ISO9001:2008 at our corporate offices in Baltimore and our manufacturing facility in Ciudad Acuna, Mx.I have also managed the integration of a new ERP system (Visual Manufacturing) company wide (3 locations, 2 companies, 2 countries). Since implementation of the ERP system, I have developed rudimentary SQL skills useful for scripting, automation and reporting within the ERP system.
