In 2012, NAB embarked on a once in 20 year transformation of its Business Bank based on the belief that bankers should spend more time with the right customers. By realigning customer portfolios and centralising fulfillment and servicing activities, The Bank of the Future Program fundamentally changed the way 4,000 business bankers operate at nab.In a highly ambiguous environment, a very complex design and deployment of segmentation, fulfillment and servicing was delivered on time and on budget. Major infrastructure built included 7 Fulfillment Centres (600 people) in 5 states, a new enterprise workflow tool developed, 300k customers were realigned across multiple divisions and extra capability built for the servicing centre.Clear leadership capability and ability to influence was demonstrated by quickly building the vision and the confidence of stakeholders through a pragmatic and transparent approach. Program was delivered on time and on budget to the scope specifications agreed to by the business.

Medfin is a subsidiary of nab and is a full end to end national business focussed on financing medical practitioners. My role was very defined to repositioning the business to changing market conditions and internal direction. This required a large restructure and transformational change across many dimensions of the business including culture, incentive schemes, risk settings and collaboration/alignment to nab businesses.

My responsibilities included development and execution of a strategy for Small Business customers attached to nabbusiness. With the objective of creating more quality time for bankers to spend with customers I lead the team that amongst other things developed a call centre for business customers, centralised credit writing, built on banker capability and drove improvements to our online capability. These improvements impacted 45k customers and 450 bankers and led to improved banker and customer satisfaction and lifted business performance.

My responsibilities were primarily to lead the Tasmanian Business Banking Team and represent the enterprise as the state head for NAB. This role required strong leadership and sales skills whilst having the ability to leverage the organisation and the market to be successful. The teams success in my time there was highlighted by the ability to rate very highly against peers (internal and external) on a broad cross section of measures.
