I joined Colonial Life in July 2011, following a 26-year career with Unum. I was COO for Colonial Life and from 2011–2012 and from 2012–2015 I served as senior vice president of Sales and Marketing. I became president and CEO of Colonial Life in January 2015 and was also named executive vice president of Voluntary Benefits for Unum in January 2020. I am passionate about the Columbia community and served as board chair for the Columbia Chamber of Commerce (2020–2021), the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce (2020–2021), the South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families (2015–2020) and the 2021 American Heart Association Midlands Heart Ball. I also serve on the following boards:• American Heart Association (Southeast)• American Heart Association (Midlands S.C.)• The United Way of the Midlands• The Midlands Business Leadership Group• The Palmetto Business Forum• Trustee, Columbia College BoardI earned a bachelor’s degree in management and a master’s in business administration degree in finance from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (Go Mocs!) I also hold the professional designations of Associate, Life and Health Claims and Fellow, Life Management Institute.
