During this tenure, Tim cultivated a deep understanding of diverse business functions, world-class processes, customer-driven product ideation, and the opportunity to hone his leadership skills with each evolving role.Tim's early financial days and tenure at Black & Decker laid the foundation for his work in business transformations and revitalizing businesses.In Asia, Tim's 18-year transformation journey began at Johnson Electric (China & Hong Kong), the world leader in micro motors, where he revitalized an underperforming division, making it stronger, more agile, and profitable by instilling a renewed sense of purpose, innovation, and process. Next, Tim joined Bain Capital’s D+M Holdings portfolio (in Japan), as President and Corporate Officer, to lead the global turnaround of the Consumer Products Group featuring brands like Denon, Marantz, McIntosh, and Boston Acoustics. A business teetering on the edge of bankruptcy emerged healthy and profitable focusing on four key pillars: (1) talent/leadership, (2) strategy, (3) process, and (4) culture.Currently, Tim offers (1) advisory services, specializing in PE (lead generation, pipeline support, financial & strategic modeling, industry expertise, and due diligence), (2) transformational consulting and interim C-Level assignments, and (3) advising startups (mentoring & coaching, etc.)Beyond his professional world, Tim finds joy in the simplicity of life, spending quality time with family and friends, engaging in triathlon training, exploring scuba diving shipwrecks, and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.
