I graduated from Emporia State University in 1995 with a degree in Recreation, looking for a career in the Camp Recreation field. With little luck locally, I furthered my self while working for Braum's Ice Cream Restaurants being an Assistant Manager for several years. In 1997, my wife and I decided to work for a christian group home as live in house parents to 6-7 boys in an emergency placement home. We worked for them for 3 years, when our 3 daughter was born and decided that we needed to focus our attention on our 3 girls. In 2001, I started my long term career in the Automotive Industry working for Long McArthur, Inc, the biggest Ford and Lincoln dealer in the state of Kansas. I started as a sales consultant but soon started our Internet Sales Department in October of 2001. After, building the INTERNET SALES DEPARTMENT from the ground up, it was evident in 2004 that we needed to have a Business Development Center to help with all the sales phone calls and internet requests we were getting, so I was promoted to the BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER and Website Moderator. After 5 year as the Business Development Manager, I was promoted to NEW FORD AND LINCOLN SALES MANAGER, but still directly involved in the success of the Business Development Center (BDC). In 2010, we started our venture into the social media marketing by having me take on as a SOCIAL MEDIA DIRECTOR starting a Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and Google+ accounts. I now have 2 Social Media Managers that help manage the posts and marketing on those sites. In 2012, since I was overseeing the processes of the BDC, Social Media Department, and Website Development that I was promoted to the ECOMMERCE DIRECTOR, making sure anything that is posted on the internet is of the highest quality.
