Senior Project Manager
Responsible for the project management of multiple projects each being made up either of a consortium of client companies including manufacturers, universities and industry associations or sponsored by one company (single client projects). Each project has a value of up to €2,000,000 and a timescale of up to 3 years. Key duties include:• Give advice to the consortium members on manufacturing feasibility, constraints and the technical barriers that must be overcome in order to ensure that projects are focused on a feasible quality & cost considerate manufacturing processes.• Creation of project plans, collaboration and consortium agreements and technical documentation at project start.• Chair management & technical meetings of each consortium at intervals of maximum 3 months.• Make key decisions to ensure that the project will be delivered on time, to budget, in full.• Ensure all project deliverables are met on time and technical reports are consistent with the requirement of the deliverable.• Manage the expectations of all the partner companies within each consortium.• Control the budget of each project and make recommendations for the virement of funds when required.• Report to the Scientific Officer or Monitoring Officer of the funding body at regular intervals.• Control the internal resources assigned to each project, set weekly objectives and monitor progress.• Report to Pera senior management on a monthly basis regarding project status, internal budget spend and external spend of each of the clients.• Visit to client sites as necessary to monitor progress, address issues and ensure that all partners remain fully engaged in the project.

Responsible for one Maintenance Technician and one Toolmaker. Implemented Statistical Process Control techniques within the production cell improving Cp and Cpk levels from 1.2 to 4.8 on average. Introduced platten lathes to the cell reducing the amount of separate machining operations for the commodity from five to three.
Production Planning Engineer
Based in the Central Planning Office, responsible for identifying the most cost effective method of manufacture for new tooling and route planning through the shopfloor from raw material to finished component. Responsible for the design and ordering of new tooling for new products. Fully trained in the use of Micro-cad, Auto-cad and Auto-cad LT.
