Timber Creative is a sole proprietorship that I’ve run for over 10 years, initially on a part-time basis, then full-time since May 2011. I serve small to medium-sized businesses, tech startups and agencies, both locally and around the world.The majority of my work is interactive based: web design, user interface, digital publishing, video and social media. I also provide services in traditional media.Throughout my career, I have been very fortunate to have had opportunities to gain knowledge in all facets of the marketing and advertising industries. My role at Chester + Company required a thorough understanding of the working interactive world. I consulted, directed, strategized, designed and developed all interactive workflow that went through the agency.I joined the agency as the first member of the “Interactive Team”. I was responsible for development of the team, the interactive process, proofing techniques, guides and standards used in the daily work flow. During my time at Chester + Company the team grew to 5+ and has become a vital component of the agency moving forward. Key Clients Included: EastLink, Destination Halifax and O'Regan's.

I wore many different hats during my time at Unique Solutions. The majority of my time was spent working as a print and web designer for various campaigns and initiatives. I also spent time travelling throughout the United States acting as the videographer at events during our “Road Show” where our mobile body scanner travelled throughout the States promoting healthy living and the perfect fit. This position gave me a wealth of experience developing ideas that have the flexibility to stretch across many different mediums.

Throughout my contract at Mugisha I developed the company branding and implemented it throughout collateral and online via flash. The remainder of the contract was focused on the branding, illustration, and online development of a web-based conflict resolution animated series called The Amazing Travelling Friendship Fair. Working with a small team of creative developers and an animation team provided great insight into the process of flash animation, production and maintaining a consistent brand experience.

Responsibilities included preparing incoming files for press, working one-on-one with clients and designing a wide range of marketing materials.This position provided me with a wealth of experience in troubleshooting and learning the ins and outs of the Adobe Creative Suite.
