Originally hired by Financial Pacific Insurance Company (a $115 million Property & Casualty insurance carrier,) as Vice President Information Services, subsequently appointed to the position of Vice President Network Applications after the Mercer acquisition of Financial Pacific.Managed the evaluation, selection, and acquisition of new hardware/software and development of new software programs to upgrade an existing system. Supervised the integration of all systems and conducted staff training. Result was a system that managed the growth of a $30,000,000 company to over $110,000,000 in annual revenues with no increase in headcount.Created a computer software program to replace a manual accounts receivable system resulting in savings in personnel and administrative expenses, better utilization of human resources, and the elimination of human error in administration.Researched and led the implementation of server mirroring technology (VINCA) resulting in the elimination of server downtime saving thousands of dollars annually in lost revenues and corresponding operational expenses.Created an information management system to identify competitive marketplace business development opportunities. Identified new revenue producing procedures leading to an additional additional revenue opportuinity.Led the implementation of the software development life cycle, all IT controls, and systems to become Sarbanes-Oxley compliant. Assembled and trained the project team, designed the modification process, and implemented the management procedures. Result was to substantially increase business with an existing client adding an additional $1,680,000 in new annual revenues over a two-year period.Managed a project for a major financial services client to create a tool capable of determining existing rates and rules for a recent corporate acquisition. Developed an organizational system to format and publish rates to the state of California. Result was to put the company in compliance with California law saving hundreds of thousands of dollars in potential fines.
