Successfully formed a 12-person technical team that completely upgraded the corporate computing infrastructure from the ground up and consistently produces state-of-the-art web technology solutions. Manages a $1.25 million operating budget and technology systems which generate $7 million in annual revenues at this leading publishing, event and new media organization serving 6k+ users. Scope of position is expansive and includes full direction and oversight for:• LAMP Web Development & Operations • SaaS Application Development• Strategic Technology Adoptions • VoIP/Telecom Systems• In-House Data Center • Custom Application Development• Corporate Computing Infrastructure • Help Desk OperationsPosition provides the most senior IT guidance directly to the chief executives of the company and is responsible for setting and implementing all IT strategic plans.Key Projects and Achievements:• Creation of a complete events system to manage the 70+ events that the company produces each year. The system includes: online and onsite user registration, badge printing, exhibitor barcode scanning and a complete event CMS.• Creation of a new PHP5 proprietary object relational database called The Mesh with a fully featured API which is extremely flexible and powerful. A proprietary CMS was built on The Mesh for powering the company's websites.• To resolve persistent network instability, designed and implemented a $250k network upgrade that included a full Cisco technology suite (VoIP, network, security, teleconferencing), Windows network upgrade, load balanced web server farm, in-house color printing system, desktop faxing, Blackberry Enterprise Server, fax blasting and server imaging for disaster recovery. Network upgrade is saving the company $70 thousand in annual operating expenses.• Replaced 3rd party digital magazine delivery system with a custom in-house application and saved the company $100 thousand in annual operating expenses.

Increased customer confidence and delivered higher quality products by providing expert technical sales support, detailed specification writing and project management for all client related web development projects. Worked with clients and sales staff to craft compelling sales proposals and, once contracts were signed, being the client champion and senior project manager throughout the development life cycle. Key Projects and Achievements:• Closed and delivered over $375k in the first six months on the job with American Express, Hackney Council, Goodrich Aerospace, O2 (British Telecom’s wireless spin off), Rock Insurance and others.

Provided senior technical talent on the mission-critical project to upgrade and redesign the telephony tandem switch network to support SS7 (ISUP) digital call processing.Key Projects and Achievements:• Selected to be the lead engineer on the project to reverse engineer the existing call processing software and implement the new SS7 protocol. Performed team building, project plans, task assignments and got the project back on schedule.• Designed and implemented synchronization methods and processes to support full redundancy of the new tandem switches.• The overall project was a great success with full approval from several Regional Bell Operating Companies (RBOCs) with the new switches being deployed.

Delivered superior technical solutions and guidance for the young startup company on its first product launch – an Automatic Call Distributer (ACD) – and was instrumental in helping the company expand into the European market by directly establishing the London office.Key Projects and Achievements:• Taking on the most senior software role for the newly established London office and spearheaded all necessary software changes for successfully launching the ACD product in England and Holland. Was stationed in London for 3.5 years.• Gained official British and Holland telecom approval for the ACD and the company became the number one supplier of premiere ACDs in those countries.• Successfully established and ran the Customer Operations Support Center in London for the first year of operation which provided superior Help Desk and installation support. Aspect gained a reputation of providing excellent customer service.• Developed a proprietary client/server application to allow a customer’s server to interact with and control the ACD for advanced call center operations. This was a key selling point for the product and distinguished Aspect from the competition.• Tackled the project to deliver full redundancy of the ACD such that all call processing information was synchronized and that no “in progress” call would be dropped in case of a failover.
