Managed a team of 11 data management professionals. Implemented a prioritization process that improved the delivery window of critical seismic data. Assumed ownership of the enterprise Log Data Management process. Assumed ownership of Decision Space enterprise geology and geophysics collaboration application. Responsible for individual team member development.

Managed teams of up to 30 software developers. This included all facets of team management including interviewing/hiring, performance evaluation, coaching/mentoring, employee development, budget management, reporting to upper management. Other responsibilities included leading a team to create our SDLC process, technical lead on the Peoplesoft implementation for our midstream company, legacy integration lead on the SAP implementation and a member of the data architecture committee.

During this time, I was responsible, along with 2 others, for establishing the companies IT department from a blank sheet. This included all strategic decisions and direction. I also led the migration of the enterprise from a shared mainframe environment to a n-tier client server environment. This required that we design and build all enterprise systems from the ground up. I designed several enterprise level application that comprised our enterprise software suite. They included our enterprise oil/gas accounting application suite (this includes all facets of oil/gas accounting - AR, AP, GL, Revenue/Royalty, Joint Interest, Tax, Trial Balance etc), our land/lease management application, our personnel reporting application, our SOX compliance app/process, our enterprise drill tracking application, our land broker portal etc. This design involved all facets of business analysis (from learning the various areas of the business to gathering requirements to writing specifications for development). I also was the project manager for the creation and implementation of these apps. I also managed a medium sized team of software developers at the same time. This included all the normal team management responsibilities (interviewing/hiring, performance reviews, coaching/mentoring, reports to upper management, employee development etc). I did a significant amount of coding on the batch side of these applications (MicroFocus COBOL, pl/sql). I was the enterprise lead SOX and litigation analyst. I also led the integration of Columbia Natural Resources (CNR) into Chesapeake Appalachia (from the CNR side) after Chesapeake acquired CNR.
